Members of the Reserve Component usually reside outside of a military base and work for civilian employers. When called to duty, Reservists and members of the National Guard put their civilian lives on hold. Reserve Component families usually do not have access to the extensive support system that supports military families living near a military base. This is where the STARS School kit comes in…

 

Here are helpful questions to ask your school…
  1. Create an easy way for parents to formally notify their children’s schools that a family member is about to be deployed.
  2. Help educators support Reserve families during deployment.

We’d love to send you a supply of our FREE school kits for families. Each pencil pouch contains information for families with a deployed parent. We ask that you provide details on how you plan to distribute the pouches in order to ensure we maximize our help to families in a cost-effective manner.
